Granola Bars are a great after school snack or on the go treat which are a prefect pack and go option. The Tangerine essential oil gives them a great flavour boost!

- Bowl
- Spoon for stirring
- Saucepan
- Cake pan
- Baking paper
Ingredients
- 2½ cups quick oats
- ½ cup rice bubbles
- ½ cup mini chocolate chips
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ cup shredded coconut
- ⅛ cup flax seed q
- cup sesame seed
- ⅛ cup chia seed
- ⅓ cup coconut oil
- ¼ cup honey
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
Essential oil
- 2 drops tangerine
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180° C
- Mix all dry ingredients together then set aside
- Mix all wet ingredients together and melt in a saucepan over medium heat
- Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix
- Allow wet ingredients to absorb into dry ingredients. Tip: If mixture is too dry, add more coconut oil or honey; if too wet, add more oatmeal.
- Line cake pan with baking paper. Pour in mixture and pat down.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes or until lightly brown
- Once baked, cut into bars and store in an airtight container
